The process

We select quality wood from local trees

Our Process

We select quality wood from local trees, which are typically fallen from storms, heavy winds, or old age.

Our lumber is milled by a local sawyer, air dried, and then kiln dried. This is an important step which stabilizes the wood, and reduces the risk of warping, cupping and cracking. Once the wood is stabilized, we begin the building process. We work with our clients to select wood type, finish, design elements, and finished size requirements. After the design is finalized, we carefully select the wood peices to create a distinctive appearance. The peices are then matched, joined, and machined. Final sanding is done by hand to create the smoothest finish possible, and stain is applied. Once dry, the furniture is then assembled, and shipped to the customer.
